Welcome to DOCO

The "Dynamique Ouest Cameroun d'Ohio" (read Western Cameroonian Dynamic of Ohio) is registered at the Ohio Secretary of State as a Non-Profit Organization. It was founded on September 3rd 2017 in Reynoldsburg Ohio in order to offer those coming from the Western Region of Cameroon and residing in Ohio an opportunity to be part of a family that has Purpose, Dignity and the sense of Honor.

Its members are known to be highly motivated and dedicated to commit a part of their time and resources in order to fight against racial, tribal, religious and any other form of discrimination. They believe that the American Dream is possible and that being part of DOCO is a great way realize it while enhancing their community.

Inside DOCO, there is one united family. We do not judge one based on their ethnicity, race, political views and religion but instead on the content of their character. We believe that all sons and daughters from the West Region of Cameroon are from the same ancestors and are therfore Brothers and Sisters.

That is why we PROUDLY invite you to join this Unstoppable Mouvement if you believe in this FIGHT and also believe that our culture should be preserved. We do not do Politics and are not a Religious group although we respect everyone's believes and ideology.

About us

From the smallest but the densest Region in Cameroon, we represent the mastermind of the Western Region of Cameroon in Ohio, En Mouvement! to unite all its Members' talents and promote its cultural diversity. We are a community of destiny that shares strong common values including ethics, efficiency, strictness, transparency and especially the love of work; a community aware of the links and the potential that come from sharing the cultural, traditional and linguistic diversity of the Region; a community in love with justice and peace, recognized by its dynamism and entrepreneurial spirit. The cohesion and originality of our community is based on sharing and unity in favor of the collective defense of our people's rights.

When and Why are We

The Western Cameroonian Dynamic of Ohio is a non-political, secular, non-profit organization, incorporated in the State of Ohio. In fact DOCO is born on Sunday, September 03, 2017 after an agreement between a dozen people who share strong values in the image of the people from the Western Region of Cameroon. DOCO, the new baby in Ohio comes with an innovative, ambitious, and modern program that once again demonstrates in the unwavering faith and conviction of its founders by participating in the fight for a world without racism, tribalism and devoid of any other form of discrimination. It is in this spirit that DOCO meets every last week-end of the month, in order to ease the exchanges, experiences, information and arouse feeling of solidarity between its Members and their community.

Our Vision is based on the idea to bring together within DOCO all the sons and daughters of Western Cameroon living in Ohio, in the combined efforts for a better future for its Members and a world of justice. We are as the showcase of the dynamism of the Cameroonian and African community, always moving forward with the spirit of strengthening the friendship and fraternity ties of its Members.

Our Mission

The Western Cameroonian Dynamic of Ohio wants to gather without any exclusions, the skills coming from the 8 departments of Western Cameroon living in Ohio, around a certain number of essential missions, especially encouraging the improvement and the development of intellectual, moral, socio-economic and cultural development of its Members, the youths of the Region, and the entire Community; promoting entrepreneurship; fighting against various forms of social abuse; promoting the integration of the sons and daughters of Western Cameroon in the American society; and creating conditions for the healthy development of children and vulnerable groups wherever it is needed.

Our Actions and Services

We make these goals possible through events such as the Christmas tree, cultural week of youth, conferences, congresses, festivals, traditional dances, fora, debates, exhibitions, cinemas, balls, theater, football, cultural exchanges etc.; by partnering with companies, institutions, and other associations; byboosting economic, social and cultural development projects etc.

The Western Cameroonian Dynamic of Ohio through its website and Facebook page is able to respond to allrequests for information about tribes, customs and languages that composes the Community of theCameroonian Western Region.

The Western Cameroonian Dynamic of Ohio is in a position by the means of its executive board to assist and supportnationals of the West Cameroon Region having difficulties, including in job search, training, investments, etc.
